The Trust Bridge was speaking at the ASAE GDPR Forum in Washington on February 27th.

The clock is ticking toward full implementation of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (more commonly known as GDPR). With a level of compliance expected by May 25, 2018, is your association ready?

The GDPR will require organizations with members in the EU to change their data-handling practices. The regulation extends the scope of EU data protection law to all companies and other organizations that process data of EU residents. Organizations must ensure they are adequately protecting EU residents’ personal information and rights or face stiff financial penalties, with fines up to 4 percent of global revenue.

Even if your association doesn’t currently have an international presence, you still need to understand the GDPR and what it could mean for you. Register now to:

  • understand the GDPR’s requirements and penalties for noncompliance
  • analyze critical questions, recommended practices, and essential responsibilities of your association to minimize risk
  • devise a plan for your association to ensure compliance by May 2018.
