Dr Rachel O’Connell (Co Founder of The TrustBridge) is one of the preeminent authorities on electronic identification and age verification and is the author of a technical standard entitled PAS 1296 Age Checking code of practice, which will be published by the British Standards Institution in August 2017.
Rachel was the fifth person to join the start-up social networking platform, Bebo, and was instrumental in operationally building the business, which was acquired by AOL in 2008 for $850M. Before joining Bebo, Rachel led a series of highly successful large-scale Pan-European projects, which involved managing teams located in 19 countries across Europe.
In 2000, Rachel set up the Cyberspace Research Unit, at the University of Central Lancashire and secured funding from the European Commission to establish and operate the first UK Internet Safety Centre (2000- 2006), which was based at the Cyberspace Research Unit. Rachel’s PhD examined the implications of online paedophile activity for investigative strategies
David is a leading authority on security issues with experience across Finance, Telecoms and the Public Sector. A Fellow of the British Computer Society, the most senior professional grade, David had a distinguished career at British Telecom (BT) prior to joining forces with mesospheric to head up the security practice.
At BT, David held a suite of senior security posts including Global Head of Security Product Enablement, Global Head of Security Service Delivery and Head of Global Security Infrastructure. His work included building secure operations capabilities, often from scratch, and developing a full Cyber incident response. Other projects included the development of CERT on a Financial Intranet which handled 3.5 Trillion dollars of trading per day, rollout of managed security services with a $400 million dollar global install base for which David headed up the architecture and oversaw implementation. A recognised thought leader in the InfoSec industry, David has over over 28,000 twitter followers and is the author of a forthcoming book on cyber
Penny is a co founder of The Trust Bridge. A highly experienced international sales, marketing and business development professional, she has worke in multiple product & service sectors, globally.
As an experienced senior executive, she has been instrumental in growth of several start-ups, early stage companies, as well as mulitnational established businesses who wish to diversify into new areas or new initiatives. Penny has extensive general management skills: operations, business-to-business, business-to-consumer sales, marketing, business development, affiliate & affinity partnerships.
More recently she has been advising clients in their Innovation in Business strategies, examining how technology is changing how businesses run, engage with their customers, employees and suppliers by creating an effective strategy and finding the right solution or solution partner to implement.
Carol is an Associate Consultant of The Trust Bridge. Carol was, until July 2017, Director of Information Policy and Services, The National Archives, and Controller and Queen's Printer. Carol was responsible for providing leadership in information management and policy across government and the wider public sector to improve the way information is managed and exploited to deliver real benefit for those that use and access this valuable resource. As Controller of Her Majesty’s Stationery Office, Queen’s Printer of Acts of Parliament, Queen’s Printer for Scotland, and Government Printer for Northern Ireland, she delivered UK wide official publishing including legislation.
Carol’s area of expertise is open data and access to public sector information, legal regulation of IP, Crown copyright and database rights, digital transformation and publishing, information accessibility and standards both from private and public sectors rooted in information management and executive responsibility for government information management, assurance and security.

Graham, an Associate Consultant of The Trust Bridge, is disruptive product and business creator.
An expert in technology development, sourcing, assessment, valuation and licensing and team building, Graham is an innovator in medical electronics (human/computer interfaces), advanced displays, easy to use interface concepts.
Graham’s understanding of Business Transformation and Innovation, and of developing strategy and implementation is evidenced by his wide and deep cross sector experience. This includes senior sales, marketing and general management roles in the biomedical, electronics, semiconductor, IT and mobile technology sectors. Alan is an Associate Consultant with The Trust Bridge
Alan is an accomplished leader and administrator with over 20 years of experience in non-profit senior management. As chief executive of a higher education professional association, Alan provided direction and leadership during a period of change in the association sector.
He successfully led the association through strategic analysis of the
environment, implementation of innovative programs, and efficient management of
operations. He has specialized in work with higher education institutions, and provides executive/CEO leadership for a nonprofit foundation and a national higher education and entertainment association, and a major University in the USA. His experience and expertise includes strategic planning and visioning and change management, financial planning and management , external relations and establishment of collaborative and strategic partnerships, revenue generation and sponsorship development, board/governance and volunteer relations, including governance restructuring, staff training, evaluation and development
Leading the Trust Bridge’s activities in the USA, Alan, as Director of US operations, is creating the GDRP Awareness program for TTB there.
Ann is an associate consultant with The Trust Bridge, and is a qualified Enterprise Architect (Togaf 9.1) and experienced ICT Technologist partnering Business and IT to scope and deliver effective solutions. She has managed Stakeholders and Communications to Board Level, and large-scale, complex IT-enabled business transformation and digital change Programmes and Projects.
Ann has run companies providing IT and digital transformation consultancy and services and has extensive vendor management and procurement experience. Ann has worked across various sectors including Central Government, IT Consultancy, Retail and Investment Banking, Oil, Shipping and Telecoms.
She is currently advising organisations on General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), alongside experts in CyberSecurity, Legal, IT Strategy and Delivery.
Bill, an Associate Consultant for The Trust Bridge, is a business-focused CIO and Digital Transformation Leader with over 20 years’ public and private sector Board Director-level experience in global organisations such as: BP, BG, British Gas, Pilkington, BAE Systems, Alghanim (Kuwait), Qatar NHIC, McKinsey, City of London, TfL (Transport for London), Service Corp. Intl.
As TfL’s first CIO, he was responsible for transforming the London Travelling Customer experience. Created & delivered TfL Journey Planner website (>1m hits pd), Congestion Charging and Oyster Smart card systems. Rationalised People, Processes, Technology across TfL & London Underground, SAP for Finance, HR & Procurement - £70m ($100m) benefits. As City of London Interim CIO, he initiated and delivered a substantial change and re-organisation programme focused on business-critical solutions, slashing IS costs, maintaining and improving service levels.
He has created and recovered new IS functions in over 10 different, merged organisations, at both operating and group company level. He has initiated and managed outsourced IT providers for more than 10 organisations.
He has delivered IT-enabled Digital Mission-Critical, High-Risk Transformational Change Programmes as CIO/Group IT Director/Change and Programme Director within central and local Government: Energy, Education, Defence, Aerospace, Transport (TfL), Audit Office, Economics, Health, Regulators, MHRA, NMC, Work and Pensions, City of London, Qatar NHIC.
